Get a Beautifully Straight Smile With Orthodontics in McAllen, TX

Smiles are highly individual, and orthodontics should be, too. Unlike many general dentists, we offer several orthodontics options in our McAllen, TX dentist office so you can choose the one that is perfectly suited to your smile. Your choices include:

  • FASTBRACES®, which uses a patented design and special materials to straighten your smile in as fast as 120 days.
  • Invisalign, the well-known system that uses clear plastic aligners to straighten teeth
  • Simpli5 or Red, White and Blue systems that use fewer aligners to correct less complex orthodontics issues

The first step in orthodontic treatment is a complimentary consultation with Dr. Kenneth Baker. He’ll examine you, discuss your smile goals, and help you select the product that will work best for your smile. Call (956) 232-8029 to book your orthodontics consultation.

We’ll Help You Answer the Braces vs. Aligners Question

FASTBRACES® straighten teeth in less time than traditional braces, and so do all the invisible aligners we offer. There are some key differences, though. Generally speaking, FASTBRACES® will work best for a wider range of orthodontics issues, including severe misalignment. They may also be a better choice if you can’t commit to wearing aligners for the recommended 20-22 hours a day.

Aligners offer more convenience, as you can take them out for eating or cleaning. If you are forgetful or prone to losing things, they may not be your best option. Two of the key factors in choosing aligners are affordability and the orthodontics problems you are trying to solve.

Maintain Your Straight Smile With Retainers

Whether you select orthodontics with braces or orthodontics without braces, you’ll need to wear a retainer after your treatment is complete to maintain your straight smile. We provide both removable retainers, which you can take out for eating or cleaning, and fixed retainers, which are securely attached to the back of your teeth so they are invisible to those around you. Again, Dr. Baker will help you determine which kind of retainer is right for you.
